Has anyone had an issue with air apparently coming from the fuel filter assy .
On idle everything is ok as soon as you raise the revs the clear fuel line fills with air.
It doesn't look as if air is coming from the tank( just replaced it)
I have replaced the hose from filter to inj pump. Still same. Check ightened the filter( its a replacement but was doing this before also)
Van is a 86 1.6 td. Just carried a lot of work and now this. I had previously noticed air in line but would always run. It would lack power at times when warm and v luggish on upward hills but still got where I was going.
Smokey on start but soon clears though does burn rich.
The air issue is now enough to stall engine once underway and we are booked into the quiet site in the lakes this weekend.
Any suggestions and or ideas very much appreciated
Cheers
Scott

Took off the filter housing (got the old style) cleaned up. Used some ptfe tape on unions retorqued. Also replace sections of fuel line.
All sorted now. Phew thought this was going to be a killer.
