hi i have an on going running problem with my '87 1.9 petrol water cooled camper it been tempramental since i got it the previous owner done all sort most of which ive sorted out he also fiited a new carb i fitted a new pump but not sure which pipes are which comming from the tank the reason being there is plenty fuel but not keen to run for long so was wondering if the pump is connected to the return its just a thought but seems to be starving of fuel but when it starts very strong petrol smell as if very rich thanks

Hi, not sure if same fix as mine, but have you tried a new fuel pump push rod? They only cost a few quid so might be worth a try. Good luck, Janine
