i know i'm not the first to ask, does anybody have instructions or at least worked out the wiring connections to one of these. Theres loads of people asking all ove rthe web but noone seems to have them!
i printed the MCF8 instructions off Wiki, but the wiring doesn't seem to match up to mine. I shoudld be getting opower on next weekend, and heads up on what feeds what would be good?
cheers

Re: Peter Everhard / Zig MCF5
I would ditch it - research shows that the badging 'Peter Everhard' was as you say of very early manufacture possibly '70s.
It is not obvious as to what the wiring setup is - a photo of the rear of a cf6 shows what may be some wiring but I wouldn't like to hazard a guess as to the connections without opening one up to check the possible inputs and outputs.
Later.....
I have found a copy of the pdf for the cf6 which should be the same HERE TO DOWNLOAD

Sorry it is a cf5 manual!!!!!!!
all done, the mcf5 works a treat thanks to the manual you sent, a lifesaver. i now have 240v from hook up (via a dist board), 12v lighting, and both batteries are wired in.
the only thing that concerns me, is that if the unit is charging the leisure battery, there doesn't seem to be anything automatic to stop the charge to the battery if it is full? the manual says to switch off after 3-4 hours. do you know of anything to put in the line to stop the battery "overcharging"?

Re: Peter Everhard / Zig MCF5
I would just switch it off once the battery is charged - it would depend upon what size battery you have fitted as to how long it would take. I would have thought that 3-4 hours on a 110Ah leisure battery that was flat wouldn't be enough.
