Troyes camping

Post by KylieKamper87 »

Hi, has anyone got any recommendations for campsite in the Troyes area of France, planning a couple of nights stop over on way to alps.

Got a Michelin guide but hard to know what sites are like

Cheers

We looked at the nice one at Lac d'Orient 4 years ago ... it was new then and as soon as it became available it was booked up.

There's a cracking site at Arcis-sur-Aube.
It's called Camping de I'lle Cherlieu.

It's on an island in the river and is run by a dutchman who is really friendly and helpful.

And the fishing is good.

Lac du Der Chantecoq at St Dizier - bit north of Troyes but as well as a reasonable campsite, it is an aire on the side of the lake - loads of room, mostly hard standing and free. You can swim in the lake (there is a man made beach) and cycle round it too. Nice place
