They are o.e. Mirrors. But only available from 1985 and on and I think mainly DoKa and SiKa.

The mirror itself is the same as on the LT, the bar is specific to the T3.

Well i was a bit manic to find a syncro and buy one quick.
I was pretty lucky with mine as it only has some very small rust spots under the windows at the back aprt from the im very very lucky with the condition. Bar having to put a new v/c in i think (will have ut checked)

Found mine on gumtree.
I nearly went to germany to buy one. There seems to be some good ones there.

There are 4 bolts needed to mount the hinges, 8.8 tensile rated (stamped on the head these days, originals may not be) "special" seatbelt thread which is 7/16" UNF and they are about 50mm long. If your van had seatbelts fitted, use these if they are long enough.

Nothing else will fit the threads in the bodyshell, so don't try!

A good hardware/Tool shop should do them. I don't mean B&Q, home base etc

Gearbox oil: Wilko's are the cheapest per litre I've found, even buying it in 1l bottles, they often only have a couple on the shelf though, you can order more on their website and collect from your local branch.

E D I T: Just checked, its gone up ! Still pretty cheap though.
Syncrosport (taking a break as of summer 2024)

I've found this

http://www.smithandallan.com/prodpage.a ... IQgwgwBDhG" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Which for 5ltrs isn't bad.

Wilkos is £17.50 for 5l, and its also the 'correct' stuff, EP80W-90 GL4 dino oil, which was original spec in our boxes.
