Can somebody tell me where i can get a socket to fit them. and what to ask for as i have had no success at Halfords and 2 Motor factors who don't seem to know what i'm talking about. :?

Its just a normal socket, one that looks like this.

Beware that the bolts will probably snap off when removing them and they're between 13 and 16 quid each :shock:
It's not rust, they're heat blisters....

I've had turbos held to manifolds (on other engines) with external-splined fasteners before - E-Torx. They are to Torx fasteners what normal hex bolts are to Allen bolts.

Horrible things, too. Especially after a few years of being heated red hot then exposed to road mank.

I've come across 'em for head bolts, too - at least they're protected there, so still have corners when you come to undo 'em.
