Peirburg mixture adjust screw

Post by KittyCamper84 »

Hi, i've looked on Wiki and searched all old posts, but can't find which way to turn the mixture screw to lean off the mixture - is it in or out????

Any help much appreciated!!!

Here be Dragons....
leaning off the mixture without the correct gas analysing equipment results in engine death....

that's why it has an anti tamper cap

My vote would be clockwise i.e in as this will restrict the fuel inlet. But please let an expert answer this.

More to the point if you gas analyser has CO, HC, O2 , I would be very interested to here exactly where you get to, mine is currently running 0.8% CO, 800ppm (4%)HC and I have no idea on O2

As you go lean you will increase O2 and HC (which you don't want) and have very low CO or at least I think thats the theory.
