Auto box problem

Hi.

I own a T25/T3 91 Auto, powered by a Sxv 3.3l H6.

My gearbox in Drive, goes from 1st gear to 2nd gear, but when it needs to change into 3rd gear it goes back into 1st gear. Cannot get 3rd or 4th gear at all.

Any thoughts..?

if its standard T3 box then they are only 3 speed. Have you checked obviuos first like oil level. If level is o.k then you could try changing the filter and oil. Have done a couple and the filters were well blocked up. Cheap to do as well.
