Re-bore question

Post by Nitmoi »

Can I trouble you to reply to a couple of simple questions so as to determine my next move?

Yes or no would do to save your time.

My engine has 1mm over size liners and pistons at the front of the engine and std liners and pistons at the rear.

Is this acceptable?

Is it imperative that I rebuild the front two back to standard?

I hope that this is not too much of an 'ask'

by heck your impatient. personally not ideal but in reality i dont think it would make the world of difference given the state of tune etc of these lumps, balance will be out but this depends on how std the rest is and what works been done
why you ask , you may also kep your answer short if you like

In theory your two oversized pistons will weigh more than the standard ones so will create an inballance and subsequent vibration....by how much is anyones guess.

Bit impatient (please excuse me)

Sorry folks I was pretty astonished at the time and it was urgent since then I got it rebuilt to std but broke camshaft while running it in! Now I am looking for a cheap engine to knock 2 into one.
