White plastic fuel filter behind carb? (1.9 DG)

Post by Mickyfin »

Had to change my fuel pipe running from outlet of petrol pump to this white plastic filter behind the carb yesterday. This somewhat confused me, as there are another two outlets, one to carb, and then another (return to tank). I wish to replace this filter along with the main one underneath near the tank.

Can anyone advise if the metal underneath one will be ok? (listed for injection models).

http://www.justkampers.com/shop/fuel-filter-j10333.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I also have an inline filter which is clear, and plan on removing this once I have replaced the main filter.

Any advice on the replacement return filter behind the carb would be greatly appreciated.

I plan on buying from Brickwerks, not JK at this time, just need to understand if the one BW list as for injection will work with my watercooled 1.9DG engine.?

Thanks. :ok

it's not a filter it's a fuel reservoir for the carb so regardless of angle of dangle there will be fuel available, no need to replace it

I understand that, but I feel it maybe at fault, as the times I have experienced loss of power is when im on an incline.
