We just had the photo of the filters for comparison.
I've replaced the tank with a new one as we've literally stripped the truck to its rails floor and all went in the bin and replaced with new

They are pretty lively, aren't they James! Just got my DW gearbox back in last weekend, shafts and little things left to do then get 'er taxed again before the MOT expires...

It's a cracking good job whatever. Fin deserves to be really proud of his efforts :ok

Thanks Guys,

I had a lot of help from two friends - one runs his new business sorting out Nissan Skylines - in a fast road style - so he knows his Jap motors, it's his fault I spent so much refurbing the body shell - we replaced nearly every panel on the lower half from the cab back - we had to make our own sills the Van ones are very different to the Pickup..

My other mate Dave builds and drives oil rigs - he did the loom fitting

I've had so much help from Aiden Talbot, Richard at Rjes and the guys at TSR have all been great. Must also thank C&C, Merlin Motorsport, Heritage VW and Brickworks all most excellent dudes.

Don't be scared - get it in.
It's difficult in the wet though - as you can't just stamp on the throttle like with the old WBX

I'm running stock scooby headers and sump
With 80mm dropped springs - I did think I'd have clearance issues, I've got 7in between the sump and the floor
but I can negotiate all the local speed bumps without it scraping - even at normal speed - the only time I think I'd risk a scraped sump is on a 4x4 style dirt lane where the ground in the middle is heigher than the wheels, but all good so far... it's higher than my Golf Rallye was on coilies :ok

For the exhaust we made a system using the original down pipe - cut just after the lambda plug then ran a straight pipe all the way down to the suspension x member area. from there you can see in the piccys - it's all made from mild using parts from Merlin Motorsport all 2.5in.
I'm looking at having a mate at Jansport make me a 3in down pipe in stainless but I think the larger throat and pipe will foul the clutch slave cylinder, might have to tease it with the bashy stick

Now that's an interesting thing! Was it really sketchy before? Never driven a singlecab so I wouldn't know. I have to make an air deflector for our roof tent, all the aftermarket ones are too narrow :(

Yeh got the widest one I could find from Thule from the states.
I think the Yakima ones go wider - see them on US ebay, but not in the UK for some reason
