Going to Turkey on the 15th of this month via Slovenia,Croatia,Serbia and Bulgaria. Have any of you that have done this trip got any must see's or must do's that they could advise us on please. The reason we are going that way is that we live in the Pyrenees in France. Haven't planned a route back but we are open to suggestions although we probably won't use the ferries across to Greece due to the cost. Do you know if wild camping is allowed in the above countries including Turkey.

I know that the authorities in Croatia and Serbia take a dim view of wild camping.
But I also know that there are many, many sleepy spots, you just have to use your head.

We drove from the UK down through France to near Colmar (National Park Ballons) then headed east into The Black Forest, across Austria then down into the north of Italy and the Dolomite Mountains, then into Slovenia and down through Croatia before heading back up into Slovenia again etc..
Here is part one of the trip http://campervanculture.com/2011/10/tra ... part-1/and" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; there are another 5 parts on the trip as well as some photos and stuff on this thread https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=91665" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Loads of wild camping to be had especially in the mountains. We heard loads of people saying you couldnt wild camp in Croatia but we found loads of people doing it everywhere especially the Italians and the Dutch, they seem to love it.

We've not got as far north in the Balkans as Croatia etc yet - but if you fancy a slightly different route, come down the Adriatic coast then across Greece - Albania is utterly gorgeous.
Everybody we've spoken to en route who's been through Croatia loves it.

Thank you for all your replies and comments. We shall certainly try Albania on our return journey and work our way up the coast.
