Anti-roll bar d bush replacement

Hi,

I need to replace my anti-roll bar mounting bush, just reading through the Haynes, it implies that you need to take the entire anti-roll bar off; is thes the case or will I get away with just undoing the mounting bolts.

If I remember correctly these are a split bush and merely open up over the bar, under the bracket and then tightened into place with a single bolt. (this on a late system)

If its the ones on the chassis, then easy enough to do in place, as said, slip bush.. if its the "eye" on the end of the tie rod to ARB, then yes, got to take it off they can be a pig and need a bit of force to get in.. bit of washing up liquid to lube the rubber...

I took mine off as all the other bushes were knackered aswell.I replaced them with the poly ones and it has transformed the van, have to agree that the ones on the end of the roll bar are a bit of a pig to fit but well worth the effort.

I did the steering rack bushes and the made a massive difference, my van has failed its mot on a anti-roll bar bush, although not sure how on earth he noticed it looks ok to me. If it improves the handling then it might be a blessing in disguise
