clutch master cylinder

Had to change clutch master cylinder today, leaking over foot well when i pressed clutch .Blead the system at bleed screw on slave cylinder,but clutch feels soft and i can;t change gear.Is there anything else could be causing this. any help would be appreciated

The slave will bleed itself just fill the reservoir and open the the bleed screw.. no need to pump.
