New T3 Shell

Post by syncro up »

For those not of the facebook syncro site.
You may not have seen this come up on the german ebay.
Based on a google transaltion, this appears to be a NOS complete syncro body shell!
Wonder what the story is behind that. Shame its not rhd, I have a need for a new rhd shell.

Can anyone shed anymore light on this, or even why it exists... may there be more?

Shame it,s got windows, would think a panel van shell would be uber rare, have switched to playing Euromillions, prizes in Irish Lotto wouldn,t finance a syncro :)

I remember having seen a US spec one (with the holes in the sides for the extra vanangon lights) on the German Bay about a year ago - think it was a 2wd body though. There were some forum discussions over here about how to register a car with a "virgin" VIN (since this would mean you'd have to fulfil all the legal/emmission requirements of a brand new car). Don't know if the same applies to UK, but then, there are ways to "transplant" a VIN from one car to another :pimp
Cheers, André

A re-shell isn't illegal afaik, as long as all the donor parts are transferred in their entirety? A virgin body bodyshell wouldn't have a VIN stamped on the underside, would it?
