Door card and sliding door etc panel clips

Post by Cyrus »

I need to replace my interior panels and clips for a revamp
Where's the best place to purchase them from, I believe there's two types of clip, one for the doors and one for the rear and slide.
Thanks

There are indeed two different types :-)

They're relatively cheap(ish)

I would advise against the JK clips (I bought some, and regretted it) - they are poor imitations, not quite the right size, made of brittle plastic. They're a devil to fit, and snap easily. If you do a search on this forum, I believe someone recently recommended somewhere you can buy original VW (or at least OEM quality) panel clips.
Cheers, Neil

Bought a full panel kit last year from JK and had them covered in lush vinyl. Also purchased 3 bags of JK clips and had to fit them in place before the panels were covered.

Loads either won't stay in the hole or have broke.

Had to take both sliding doors panels off get the edges undone and then the task of removing all the clips. Will never use them again and have purchased fir tree clips instead.

ok these spoil the look as they have to go through the vinyl but at least they stay in place and you can get the panels off again. My panels were making it impossible to open the sliding doors.
