Welding in Cornwall

Post by avant-garde »

Hi, I have a 1982 T25 2.0l Aircooled and the front window aperture has rusted right through.
I've bought a donor front end on eBay, delivered by a confused TNT courier yesterday after my local garage recommended that I buy a front end so that they could cut the old part out and weld in the new.

Went down to the garage today and they don't want to know.

Anyway...what I need to do now is find a decent welder living in Cornwall that is willing to do the job.

Can anyone recommend a welder/garage etc that would be willing to do the job.
I really don't want to go down the road of taking the van to a VW Specialists as from experience they are not what they are cracked up to be (no offense to any VW specialist reading this :)) ...and they charge through the nose as well.

As always any help greatly appreciated. :ok

Many thanks for that. I shall give him a call on Monday.

I'm pretty sure his name popped up when I was looking for someone to fit my new engine...we never got hold of him though and ended up going with Nigel Alan

:ok

This is the listing picture that was used on eBay.

I'll take some of the front of my van when the rain stops.
