Remains of a headlight wiper mechanism - ie the motor? Just a guess.

not a washer or wiper, it connects directly to a thread inside the lower adjuster that changes the up down angle of the outer light. Must be a motor to to aim the headlight when the van is loaded, not seen one before, just want to get the details right as I'm putting the lights up for sale.

Should be fairly easy to rob from almost any early-mid '90s car in a scrappy - they were fairly common around then. Usually just a little roll switch, like the dash dimmer.

Looks very much like the units I have on the back of my Carlton headlights so plenty of switches about at scrappers.

User sweitch from a Golf Mk3. Similar motor so it should work to test it.
