Rear Coil Springs

Post by avant-garde »

Hi, just a real quick one. Am I able to put 1988 caravelle rear springs (2 yellow, 1 green band) onto a 1982 T25 Aircooled 2.0l van?

I can't see any reason why not but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :ok

Hi Ian, forgive my ignorance but is that a bad thing if the back is lowered by 30mm and the front isn't? I don't know. But as far as you know I should be able to use them on my T25 without any real problems?

Thanks,
Kevin.

I guess you're into bump stop length territory and weight of van. A lardy asre camper like mine needs all the spring it can get

One of the 'Hit it with the lowering stick' boys will be along directly no-doubt.

2 yellow is basically a standard length spring (heavy duty to be exact)
appart from the basic stripes there are mixed , i presume this is because they are on middle ground when tesed/ set and painted when new

lower would be one green.

no probs fitting,

you can fit single springs but they are set in pairs so best to fit the pair
