ive found this part on fleabay, its a lot cheaper than JK's and Brickwerks can any one see any issues with it?

Don't!!! I've tried them. Made of flippin chocolate. I ended up buying a pair of S/H driveshafts and had no trouble whereas those ones lasted a matter of weeks at most. I suspect those joints fit a light-duty vehicle too and may have worked on that but not with a ton and a half from a standing start at the traffic lights. Trust me, they soon gave up and yes it was definately those ones.

Unfortunately there are some really bad CV joints about. I know the others cost a lot more but they'll last. Either that or find some good S/H ones as these chocolate ones a relatively new on the horizon.

Well I wasn't far off with 74€

Seriously, get a good splined 1/2 in drive tool for the bolts, buy only a good one, and keep it in your vans emergency kit.

Use a good pair of circlip pliers, use a brass drift on the end of the drive shaft never hit the end of the shaft with a hammer, mount the whole job very securely , preferably hanging down in a big vice, use all the grease in the sachet.

Really really clean the spline on the drive shaft, and oil before fitting new CV joint. Use a dowel or large enough socket to drive back onto the shaft.

Oh and don't forget to put the crimp ring then the gaiter on first

Don't forget to recheck ALL the bolts after 50 and 200 kms.

Yep, no way to keep the cost down on CV joints other than fitting a known good S/H one. Its nearly always money down the drain if you don't know the source and buy without checking. Unfortunately it can be an expensive job to do, particularly if its all four.

GSF sell 2 types standard and premium quality kits I've just bought 4 standard for £28 each with free postage they arrived next day before 10am and they are great even come with 12 point spline bolts and spreader plates

Can't figure that. Why have two qualities on a part that important. If 'standard' is anything like cheap VW hubcaps then you may regret the choice. But then again, what makes the premium ones premium? Time will tell. All I can say is I too tried to save and just ended up doing the entire job again, minus the money I spent the first time. Not fun.

Do check that whoever supplies your parts (got mine from Brickwerks - v good) ensure you get the 'Torqx' type headed CV bolts and not the cheaper 'allen' headed ones. As said above, get the correct tool to do these up, then keep tool with your vans emergency kit, Lastly, do use the correct, 'dished' CV bolt washers too......much less likely to work loose, and much better than 'spring' washers too.
