Another colour question :(

Post by serenitycamper »

Anyone know these vans owners or what colour they might be? Oh and I'm sorry if I've used your pics anyone, I just need them for reference purposes. Got a right bitchy response on VW Vortex for posting someone else's picture for a colour reference, never mind the answer; just rant for 12 posts!

Sorry, can't help with a colour code (top one looks like "text marker yellow" to me, if you're into it, go ahead, why not? Bottom one, judging from the the background looks like it's taken from the Essen Motor Show :ok ). Isn't there a link to "kath & theo" on the homepage where you found the top picture? If it's a language issue, I'd be happy ta assist, send me a pm.
Cheers, André

Unfortunately not, it was just a pic on one of the flickriver streams :( which is why I was asking! I'm sure I will require help with the language barrier at some point soon though so I'll drop you a line if that's ok?

I think the bottom one is vauxhall verde perl, it went on two years of the Astra coupe. Nice colour.

I just like that crazy highlighter colour :rofl

Maybe BETTYBRICK's colour would be something for you?

Thanks for the advice, already seen that one! It's a bit too green for what I'm after to be honest. I'm leaning towards the new Scirocco green to be honest. It's a beautiful colour and won't look too out of place in our wild camping stops :) should be doing it camo really haha

Like it a lot! It's called "viper-green metallic" (Viperngrün metallic). According to one post I found in a German Scirocco III forum, it's a reissue of a 1970s Scirocco I colour code (well according to that post, there were two different versions back then and the new green differs slightly). VW colour codes are:
1974 - 1977: L98B
1976 - 1978: L96N
from 2008: LR6T

Maybe one of the "vintage" colours would be even better for the t25?
Cheers, André

I didn't know what the codes were for the older colours, thanks for that. I'm only painting this once and I'm having a complete mare deciding what colour to do it. First I thought orange, then black, the nogaro blue, then green and now ive seen the wolfram/tungsten grey which is gorgeous. I just don't know what to do. I not even anywhere near ready to paint it but unless I make a decision, I never will be! :|

Im sure this is a Audi colour, I can remeber lusting after a Audi quattro that was this colour in the local main dealers back in the early nineties. It was there years dont even no if it was for sale.
