T25 Front VW Badge - which one?

Post by DeanButler »

Hi.

Just picked up my first T25 Transporter High Top and the VW badge is missing off the front grille. There is no hole for fitting in the front grille i.e no where obvious where it would sit or fit. Any one know which one I should get (something cheap preferably) and where it should sit?
It's a 1990 model with twin headlights.

Yours hopefully.

Maybe it's a non-vw debadged grill? A photo would help immensely

There is no recess for a badge on that grill so you can't really fit one. It's a Taifun grill I think??

You could glue a vw badge to it if you really want but it will look crap

I don't think any other grill fits the taifun light setup

Thats a nice looking grille, why don't you obtain a badge, any size you fancy, get a very short piece of plastic pipe, eg;25mm long, the right size to fit the badge into, shape the other end of the pipe to fit around the grille fins and fix into place using glue or wire, painted up it could be done really neat and look great, Sod what convention says!

Thanks Nij but I've purchased a new grill now. I still have the old Taifun grill though on it's own if you wanna offer me a price. It's a little stained from something that's splashed on it at some point but otherwise in ok condition.

I've got the big VW grille badge you can have for a fiver (about £20 normally)....it is presently painted yellow which would actually look OK with your daisies.
