Bookings are now open and a line-up would be easy to arrange

It might clash with the Picos trip, as most that go are syncro's

why not organise a "Club 80-90" line up with T25's with or without syncro's, as its a T2 split window thing, mainly

Having done a few it's pretty much impossible to do an organised line up unless your one of the splitscreen van club trailor fairies or work for type2detectives. Yet the T4 lot manage...

In that case I hope you wont be offended if I gave it a miss this year

Fair play to you for trying to drum up an extra few hundred quid though...

Cheap shot there Jed. As a fellow "self employed builder" you will know that no work means no pay, so, taking into account the time lost to me to organise this event for the SSVC it costs me £600 + I dont do it to earn then, do I ?jed the spread wrote:sausage fingers wrote:@T-V-M, no, its a VW event organised by the SSVC

It sells out wether a load of Syncro owners want to join in or not but trying to organise a line-up is a nightmare on the day, so I was trying to do that if anyone wanted it. You obviously have a problem with that but "Hey" you have had a go already. Dont bother coming if you dont want to but let those that do enjoy it

I didnt mean to offend please dont take it personally and as you are new I wouldnt want to put you off the Syncro scene by me assuming you were drumming up extra revenue in your first ten posts. Its not like VZI on here and most of us know each other quite well and are always up for helping each other out through our passion for travel and general arsing around. Its clear you are going to fit right in with few on here and wish you the best of luck with your Brighton Breeze venture and I hope to see a good line up at Brighton breeze if we should visit for the day.
In the mean time if (or when) things go wrong with your Syncro, especially if you take it off road and things start to go wrong please feel free to seek advice through here and if there is anything I can help you with personally in my limited mechanical experience (being a fully time served plasterer) I would be happy to help.
Good to have you with us,
jed

Re: Does anyone fancy a SYNCRO line-up at Brighton Breeze ?
Cheers Jed,
I LOVED the Split that I had but a messy divorce saw me ( a little reluctantly due to adverse ribbing I WILL get from SSVC members) buying a syncro. I joined the club in order to get some first class knowledge as to how to keep it on the road as I broke the darn thing before I even actually drove it home. Having met Clive and Jenny and realised the MASSIVE enthusiasm that they (and the rest of you) have for them it soon became apparent that you are ALL up for a laugh and some fun. Having experienced a very small amount of the AMAZING things that a syncro can do off road I am just staggered that so little is done by the VW community to welcome you all
BB is a logistical nightmare. 3 shows at 3 venues over 3 days and "Yes" it costs £40 if you dont pre-book but when you take into account the £6k that Madiera Drive costs to hire for 12 hours and the cost of t-shirts, stickers, badges etc that come with your ticket AND the fact that you can put 4-5-6-7-8 people in your bus included in the cost of "parking" then it begins to become apparent as to why I take umbridge at someone having, not one, not two but three "pops" about it. Especially as one was tagged on to me thanking fellow members for making us feel so welcome on saturday.
Thanks for you words of encouragement for my Syncro-ing future
I bloody love Helga and so does Fi
