Hello all, I was coming back from Newquay today on the A30. Got queuing at the section where it goes to a single lane for a couple of miles at Bodmin and as it goes back to the dual carriageway and as I was going uphill, I had a sudden loss of power, tried dropping down a gear nothing. No warning lights, plenty of fuel, van had been running for an hour, water temperature all okay.
Left the van on the hard shoulder for 5 minutes before thinking about calling out the AA and then I tried restarting the van and she started and was pefectly okay for the remainder of the 4 hour journey home. I thought it maybe a fuel line/supply problem but it restarted, so looking for any ideas and help on what the problem could be.
All help appreciated.

First step, I think, would be to chuck a new fuel filter on it if you're at all uncertain about how old it is.
