wire up water pump problem

Trying to wire up my in tank water pump i've got a pmsv3 power unit. I am trying to wire it up in series with the mirco switch but i just keep blowing fuses can someone help me .

you are only switching either the live or the neg and not inserting the switch across the two ?

live from power source to live on pump and neg to switch and then to pump neg ?
