Windows Removal with Stretch OEM Headlining?

In my Caravelle Syncro, my headlining is factory fitted, and goes under the window rubbers...

Now as the weather is getting better here, I'm planning on fixing the light rust which is found at the corners of a couple of windows. The rear heated rear window, and the drivers side rear window.

I have searched and read on how to remove, and refit the glass using the string method, have done this on a few old cars I had back in the day.

My question here is, with the headlining tucked up under the window glass rubbers, is there any special attention needed to the process as to not scre up my headlining?

All my windows are OEM, and all have the Vw/Audi marks, so I would imagine I will be the first to remove some of the glass, I just don't want to screw up the headlining in the process.

Any tips, advice, care notes on the process, of both removal, and refitting would be greatly appreciated.

You shouldn't have a problem removing them. You may find you need to glue it back to some edges here and there to keep it in place while you refit windows. I can take out and put back a windscreen single handed so the others should be a breeze. Braided nylon washing line seems to work well. Two people best though, to ensure everything gets tucked in as it should on the refit.

Loosen the rubbers with a wooden wedge or similar, run all the way around before you start.

Well it is similar this North of Helsinki where that film was shot. I live in Kuopio, which is a 5 hour train journey from Helsinki. Im not that far from the Arctic Circle
