Re: camping in padstow
Try looking on the campsite finder at http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - you can search by map & facilities.

Rick Stein will most likely have a camp site in the town. He runs everything else in Padstein.

We liked this one when we stayed a few years ago, really handy for the town,
where one can marvel at the price of fish and chips at Mr Stein's restraunt

Re: camping in padstow
We used to stay at Trewan Hall, its a very relaxed place ideally situated between Newqay and Padstein (Padstow).....
See their Website for location and opening times.
They have a very large field that doesn't have set pitches, you just have to make sure you are at least 2 meters from your nearest neighbor
A photo of our setup before we got the Van.

The only draw back we found was that the electric hook up field can get muddy if it rains a lot....and it is the smelly red mud!!

Re: camping in padstow
We've stayed at Dennis Cove too. Just a short walk along the camel trail into Padstow itself - the first bit you come to is the harbour and Steins fish and chips place!
We were quite disappointed with the camp site though - pricey for the poor standard of facilities but on the plus side a very helpful chap on reception when our van broke down.
FYI - if you have a breakdown in this area there is afab VW garage in Wadebridge - guy very knowledgeable about vans.
