ok so its as above.. now before you flame me, i did check the search bar and faq's .. but what i want to no, is what can i keep if anything from the 2.1 dj..as ill be selling what i do not need. im guessing ill keep next to nothing.
ive sourced a pb engine and ecu, loom i have to find, but its has everything else bolted to it as it came out of the car.
so far i no ill need derv engine bars .. why can i not use the petrol ones ? different angles ?
also do i need to use a derv sump or can i keep the mk2 one ?
water pipes, surely i dont need all the derv mk2 / t25 ones .. can i reuse any 2.1 dj ones, or the mk2 gti stuff ?
i guess im looking for someone who has subsituted there 2.1dj for a gti lump ..
as soon as i source the bits i need the 2.1dj ,and ecu etc will be up for sale , its just turned 100k and has service history .. but ill stick that in the forsale section ..

Engine mounts in a different place..
Engine lays over at 50 degrees in a T25, 15 degrees in a Golf... hence oil pump pickup and sump wont (well not for long)
Waterpipes.. you'll need to use the D/TD ones in the engine bay or make something up..
Prob quite a few subtle differences from petrol to D in there so expect to have to make it up a bit as you go...
