seat belts from breakers yard?
Felt guilty clicking the 'New topic' button as I know there are loads of posts on the seat belt subject. Have been looking through the archive for a few nights now but can't find any mention of rear 3 point seat belts from a donor vehicle. I'm hoping to fit my Devon R & R bed this coming bank holiday weekend and I am currently working near a scrap yard in Glossop. Using the existing threaded mounting points the bed seems a long way away when in seat configuration. I know you can't put a price on safety but new belts are not cheap. I'm wondering if belts from a people carrier or transit van or truck would reach ? if I find some they could perhaps go on the wiki for future referance

Absolutely. You're far more likely to find some good ones is a scrap yard as modern cars end up there long before the belts creak their last.
