Speed stickers for vehicles in France

has anyone heard about the need for speed stickers for vehciles travlling in France?
Just been told that all HGV vehciles must have them and also now caravans and motorhomes.
Just wondered if anyone had heard the same?

My family was gassed in an aire in France last year, then they made me sit outside for 30 mins 'till it had gone.
