I have a bluebird Rock n roll bed. As you maybe aware you need a raised panel over the engine bay to allow the bed to lay level.
I have made a panel but it is a real pain having to take it out to access the engine bay (more often then sleeping in it ).

Yes, you make a hinged lid in that panel.
