Stainless Steel Back box with twin outlets

Post by TEMPO »

Hi all,
My good friend has developed a center stainless steel back box for my 2L air cooled van.
Instead of trying to fit to flanges, the guys have chopped flanges and fitted direct to outlet pipes.
It looks and sounds superb, and my performance is a lot better.
also the transmission between gears is much smoother.
These exhausts can be made to order, and fitted with twin tails, single tails etc.
If any of you guys are interested, contact me for details at tempozzzz@aol.com, I can mail pics. PICS NOW AVAILABLE IN MY GARAGE
The guys can also fit these exhausts on the Wirral. slight possibility can fit at your home.
Cheers :ok

Looks good, but your description in your garage says

Sounds like you've got the correct engine then. If its been painted then its probaly a recon one :ok

For one horrible moment, I though you'd had an old F0rd V4 engine fitted, which was one terrible engine

How does it make gear changing easier.? The reason i ask is.We get a lot of posts about gear changing problems. And i have never seen anyone recommending changing the backbox as a solution.

also the transmission between gears is much smoother

This is the first as stated.
the guys are making more and will be available soon.

I only posted here for a honest response, and if any members were interested.
They will be flogging these at a higher cost once established, prob through ebay and VW sales. VW Heritage are interested at moment.
cheers for any response, if you are interested, as said, you can drive your van to WIRRAL, they fit you one in couple of hours.
First few will get a good deal.
I keep you posted
They can have 2 twin pipes or basically any look you like. There are over 20 different stainless tails.
