Seat recovering.

Post by Dave307 »

Hi all.

I have an old set of caravan seats in the back of my van that I want to recover.

Can anyone give me an idea of cost and advise on what is the best material to use. Ikeep seeing vinyl listing on fleabay but think that would be a bit sticky in the summer.

Do you intend covering then yourself. If so your only limited to how much you can spend on the material. We have just bought some for ours and it was 24 quid a meter. You can get it much cheaper but I wouldn go for vinyl like you said not pleasant in the summer:-S

Not sure if I have the talent to cover myself. I can use a sewing machine but I'm not talented enough to do a top job like I want.
