Just my luck.

Post by lhd »

Found this while changing the inner lower TCA bushes, I new the other side was too easy.

Cant be good for my new tyres.
I had to cut the bolt off as the nut snapped off and the bolt had welded itself to the bush sleeve. The hole seems to have elongated downwards, I would have expected it to have gone up, other side is fine.
I take it the only way to fix it is to replace the front subframe, any ideas?
Rob.

Baxter has posted a few times about this, he might have an answer for it?

Hi Rob
One way of fixing it is to weld a thick washer in place and use a slightly longer bolt. No thinner that 3mm. 4 to 5 will be better.
