My pedal has become detached from the floor and the metal part that goes through the floor has also broken from the other part that the cable is attached to.
Try as I might,I can't get it reattached,my idea is that I need a new pedal and and a new accelerator push rod,is this the solution
Apologies for the non mechanical description
Accelerator pedal advice please

Re: Accelerator pedal advice please
The push rod does not connect. All it does is push down on the mechanism below. Hence the name

Huyton
Using Dans diagram the pushrod (10) simply pushes down on part 1. It does not attatch in any other way
My pedal came away a year or two back and I simply replaced the pop rivets (from vw for pence)

Rivets are good.
I know that they are slightly different, but when mine broke on my T2 I bought a small hinge and attached that to the floor and pedal. It was a better fitting than the original.
