Aux water pump and glow plug light

Hi two problems with my jx one is the aux water pump it comes on as it should but doesnt switch off as it was on for 6 hours this morning before i pulled off the wire to switch it off on putting the wire back it stayed off.I take it there is a sensor is it the one in the plastic housing on the head that points to the right hand side of the van.The second is the glow plug light takes a long time to go out 30 seconds plus ive replaced the relay and plugs but still it takes alond time to go out.There is power to the plugs and it goes off when the engine is started any ideas would be good
