No dash lights or main beam LED.

Post by bradders89 »

I have looked throught the forum and havent come across a answer. I have no dash lights. Have taken the bulbs out and checked if they were working which they were. Also the main beam led doesnt work either. But the temp, battery and oil warning all do work. Cant see any breaks in the PCB and have disconected the big white conector and recnected it to see if it was a dodgey conection but no luck. Anyone with any ideas on what it could be?

The main beam is probably just a dud bulb but you need to remove it to check.

The panel lights have a fuse and a dimmer control. Either of these could be the problem but check that the PCB is intact directly under where the top right bulb panel light is fiited -the pcb can easily get damaged when rotating the bulb into position - a break in the track at this location will cause all of the panel lights to stop working as voltage is looped from this postion to all other panel bulbs.

Ive had look at the circuit board and couldnt see any breaks but looked very worn. Asthe last owner has screwed around with a few wires under the dash i had managed to find a wire that did run anouther light as the lights were flicked so just bypased the circuit board and wired the bulbs in directly!! Shame people cant frigging leave vechicle wiring alone if they dont have a "feck" clue!! Thanks anyways!! :ok
