T25 Starting and running problems

Yet another problem

My T25 2100cc auto problem starting changed rotar arm and distributor as middle bit that contacts with rotor arm .

She will start run erratically or then cut out or take foot off accelerator she will cut out ?

If I disconnect this vacuum hose in pic below she runs and starts ok



When she is running and reconnect this hose she stops dead

Presumably the timing has been set up too far advanced so that when the vacuum advance is connected the engine over-advances and will not run.
Over to the petrol heads for more thoughts.
