Re: My first blood....
If the syncro had more grunt I'd be towing the "oh I didn't think it would be a problem" freeloader off our works forecourt right now...

Anyone got nothing better to do today in Surrey and need a laugh/punch-up in the street with a window cleaner?
More torque than a DG and decent tyres required...

and i've commented
what you need is 3 others and tie them up like a team of horses and to it up the A3
failing that cut his hand brake cable slip the syncro into G and tug it, they do tow sideway to turn

Re: My first blood....
Cheers Nige. The old Bill have told us in the past that as long as we don't damage it, we're quite within our rights to move it off our property (trespass/obstruction) but we must not cause a traffic hazard i.e. not dumped in the middle of the road, fun as it might seem at the mine
I have dragged a few in the past when we were new to the premises, it had become a bit toll-free NCP/first come etc. They soon got the message.
But I had 2 tons of 4x4 and 135 bhp of VM Tdi to play with back then...

A few buckets of cold water thrown in the area around the freeloader should make it nice a slippy to get it moving once the Syncro is on an area with traction should easily be able to skate it across the iceAnd I thought you were an engineer Ian

Re: My first blood....
we do a fair bit of towing, when theres a car underneath a damaged tree, but the most supprising one was a smart car, their hand brakes are amazing, they bunny hop when you give them a pull, bounce bounce bounce!

Re: My first blood....
I did consider simply putting ar$e to bonnet and feet to wall then PUSH but in the event, just as we were going home, the bloke who owns it came over and apologised for his lad dumping it there...
Next time I'll leave the hose running over it all day
