Auto Sleeper. Access into upper bed

Post by Sunnyside »

Hi all,
So our T25 auto Sleeper in now ready to hire out and we are advertising it as a 4 berth. I have already taken quite a few bookings for her ( Daisy) and it has slowly dawned on me as I attempted to get into the bunk space to check the antenna gland that getting up there isn't an easy task.
I retired from the Royal Navy Submarine Service after 22 years and have been in a few hard to reach bunks on a sub, but how do you get into the top bunks of the Van. Is there a ladder you can use :?:
whats the technique :?: I have got a booking for 4 adults who are sure they will cope..........but now I'm not too convinced :!:

ps we do offer drive away awnings and tents but they recon they will manage

Thanks.
Frank

Up onto the hob cover then into bed is the way we do it.
you can buy ladders that fold up and will reach the bed from the floor

or you can use the ladder that comes with the van to get on the hob

Hi Frank,

As mentined in previous posting the vans originally came with a removable ladder that was stored in the roof to act as a barrier to stop luggage falling out.
Not sure if you have this already but it can be seen in the photo below:

Hi Kev,

Thanks for the compliment, I am glad you like it :D
If you go to the main homepage at http://www.vwT25camper.info" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; you will see that it links to similar sites I have built for Holdsworth and Autohomes T25 campers (and one that already existed for Westfalia) as well.
If any one reading this has any sales brochures, price lists or owners manuals that are not already on the sites do please send me a copy and I will add it for the benefit of all.

Cheers,
Dave

hi Dave, yes I have that rack thingamajig.lol but it has different length legs and would stand up straight if you attempted to use it. I have just fitted a "Buddy Seat" behind the passenger seat so that might do. I have read somewhere these vans will sleep 4 adults......  I'm not too sure about that now so I might have to amend the details on my website. :)
