Hi Guys,
Does anyone know where I can buy the upper part of the rear window panel? They do not seem to have that bit on JK or Schofields
Cheers

Re: Rear Quater Upper window panels?
Sorry I am not that good with the terminology.
Basically all around my rear windows in my autosleeper panel conversion are rusted. Some are pretty far away from the window edge (2-3 inch).
I cannot find anywhere this top upper rear side panel. Checked schofields, JK. No luck.

When I visited welders he said it would be easier to replace the upper panel than the repair that I said people do on here.
Now decided to try some welding myself so not sure on best / easiest / foolproof option lol
Cheers

Re: Rear Quater Upper window panels?
you will need a cut section from a good van.
there are no panels that are available for that repair as Autosleeper cut the window holes in a panel van

As Kev says,
if its gone all the way round then you have to fabricate the lot, its easier in some respects than finding a donor in GOOD order that also has the window hole of the exact size and in the same position as yours in relation to the rest of the body,
as you will see you have a swage at the top and bottom so if yours has gone into this then you/your welder will have to remake this part as well, only dvice I ncan give is to spend as much time as you need to ensure the parts you make are right as it will cause heartache further into the job trying to rectify mistakes.
good luck

Re: Rear Quater Upper window panels?
Making the swage line is just about possible using a joggler.... that area on mine is pretty far gone too due to a previous bad repair making the rust worse. Also the inner framework behind the arch panel is very rusty so I'm on the lookout for a donor van to cut some sections from. Otherwise I'm in for many many hours of finicky hand-making and painstaking welding together of bits. Makes sense to cut it from a donor if theres one readily available.
