Hi. i have just signed up to this site after always coming back for more info.
I have a couple of question:
has anyone done this conversion before? (i did find someone but can't find the site anymore as my pc packed up)
has any one got some r1 or ZX9R carbs preferably already jetted?
also will my 4speed gearbox fit straight on to the ABF engine?
any help would be much appreciated. thanks in advance.

hellodepends what 4 spd one it is? if it is a diesel yes it will fit straight on but it will have shocking gearing for a petrol engine so what you need is a petrol 4spd i am going to use an abd code for my AGG converson but the DK box's are apparently strongest. but you have to change the petrol input shaft to a diesel one.
then the engine will fit onto the bell housing one of two ways. you either have an adaptor plate to make it sit upright in the engine bay or you use all the diesel bits (sump, engine bars engine mounts ect... ) and you fit it as the diesels were fitted on their side.
but i think with that engine your going to have to do alot of cutting and stuff to get it in. ... the 8v 2E or AGG fit better and the tourque they produce is lower in the rev range so better for the T3 ..... just food for thought.

Re: ABF 2.0 16v
thanks for the advice. better add that its a single cab pickup so room shouldn't be to much of a problem as it doesn't yet have the flat bet.
As for the gearbox i shall have to try it and see what happens.
