coolant temp sensor wiring WBX, 85 vs 86

Post by wcumbriangasman »

just wondering how easy or difficult it is to make the 2 wire black coolant sensor from the 86 WBX on, work with a 85 van which has only one wire going to the coolant sensor. I'm certainly no electrician! so need help. The reason I need to know is because I'm in the process of putting a second hand 86 WBX in my 85 van. All the 86 plumbing hoses came with the engine so the plumbing side is sorted. thanks

thanks for that, hopefully with a bit of luck shouldn't be too hard to wire up then. The blue coolant temp sensor for the ?choke/manifold heater next to the black one also has 2 wires. Is one of these an earth aswell? thanks

are the 2 wires connected to the blue temp sensor on 86 and on vans the same as the 2 connected to the 2 spade terminal thermoswitch on 85 vans. thanks
