i have been off ill for best part of 2 months on and off and i am busy trying to catch up on loads of things including 2 wheel carriers i have been trying to get round to sending abroad. russel mentioned this subject to me and i have been going over and over loads of pics/threads,going through folders for original drawings, various pics of them fitted and not fitted. the keeper/locking devices look the same, came in the same boxes...... but engineers seem to have forgot to mention to us that the left and right keepers ARE different!!!!!!!!!! i have them on a flat surface bolted tight and one marked i know is for the right side, we have 17 of them and i have gone through them all. bases all the same, protrusion part exactly the same,keeper/catch the same.... 10-15 degrees difference on the angle they would be when fitted to body. this would make daves one pull closer to body cos it has a left side keeper which is 10-15 degrees out making it shorter and not allowing carrier to sit out in line away from tailgate! give you a call later Dave to sort mess out! cheers mcgill

Well done that man! I was sure it had to be the keeper or bracket, as you cant get anything out of line when you mount it. Well you shouldn't be able too  Glad weve got to the bottom of it. :ok
Dont forget im not in the UK at the moment, but willl be returning on the 14th of March, so can take the offending part back with me.
If you drop me an email with details of which bits you want back.....

thers a problem with the spring catch too. Ill pm you. :x

Would like Ian or Russel to contact me or return my emails to say when and how they are going to replace the faulty parts. Before anybody says about contacting them direct, I have several times by email, but they seem to have gone off the radar again.
Customer service? What customer service?
Patience is wearing a bit thin now.

Im sorry to hear that youve been off ill, but as someone who has run his own engineering business, if I was ever off ill, I still checked emails and kept in contact with my customers. You are not a sole trader, so someone else could have taken responsibility, but we'll come to that in a bit....
Ill tell you and everyone what ive said to you and Russell on so many occasions. I am returning to the UK on the 14th and would like to know what parts you want me to take back to return to you.
As for 'negative', lets get this into perspective, the only time you or Rusell have replied to me is when I have had to post publicly on the forum, not good for a customer who has purchased faulty goods. All I ever wanted at the beginning was to get the catch sorted, then it became apparant that youve supplied me with the wrong hinge, so we need to get that replaced too. That would have been good customer service and it could have all been done and dusted. I haven't made a song and dance about the PCD being incorrect, I just cut it apart and rebuilt it to the correct 112 PCD.
Oh and then the icing on the cake is the email I received from Russell yesterday. Perhaps you know what it said, but I very much doubt it. But all will become clear to anybody that is thinking of putting any business towards Syncronutz / Campernutz in the future.
I have all the emails kept on file should you wish to refer to them.Anybody that knows me knows that im not the type to start a witchhunt, I just want this sorted, not a lot to ask for really.....
So are the replacement parts going to be posted? Youve got my address. Balls in your court fella.

how many times have you contacted us? you have my mobile number which you used to use to contact me many times before. i have been at work 12 days or so since december and have had no need or inclination to look on any forums. you told me you were back on the 12 of march ages ago when you first got carrier and i offered to sort it but you were away. the pcd isssue is bull! if you take a normal hub and fit longer studs, when you try to fit the wheel up the bolts are always just out and you have to move them a little to fit. you have cut the carrier back and welded bits, did you not bend the stud holders into position first before you did all you mods? we have gone through the other carrier hinges here today and we cant get any of the configurations of each to make any carrier fit the way that yours does. we are going to actually fit one the same as the one we sent you in the morning to one of my vans and make a video of it. we will post the findings on here and anywhere else. as to russel not getting back to you,he has been here himself doing all the work needed to keep this place going,he hasnt looked at any of the emails to syncronutz as when you do there are hundreds of which most are crap and time consuming.
as for your customer service remarks! i bend over backwards and beyond for anyone i can and often go miles out my way for free, give many members on here parts for free or way below what they are worth. i hate it when individuals take it upon themselves to use forums to diss peoples work and efforts before they have had a chance to reply or sort it out if there is a problem. the world doesnt revolve around your a*** i'm afraid! just because in the space of one week i didnt reply to your pm you take it upon yourself to slate us!
your problem will be sorted when you return to the uk in a couple of weeks......you go on as if we havent tried to sort as though you were 5 mins down the road and you have waited in all day on us coming to fix it.... when the last pm i had was that i had to send correct part(if wrong) and you had to return other part(if wrong) after the 14th of march!!!!!
HOW CAN THE BALL BE IN MY COURT IF YOU ARE BATTING IT FROM SPAIN 3 WEEKS BEFORE YOU GET BACK!!!!! :ok bring back keeper catch and both hinges just to make sure and i will send tried and tested ones.

Ian, pictures paint a thousand words.

Image

As to the PCD measurements being incorrect due to fitting longer studs, im afraid youre wrong, no longer studs have been fitted, and if you look carefully at the picture its plain to see the measurement is incorrect.
As to me being in Spain, its irrelevant. You simply dont communicate. And its not just my opinion, ive had several emailss to 'wish me luck'. The only reason ive posted it on the forum is because its the only way you respond. Oh, do you remember reading this "Dont forget im not in the UK at the moment, but willl be returning on the 14th of March, so can take the offending part back with me.If you drop me an email with details of which bits you want back....."
At the end of the day you've supplied a faulty item and it is your responsibility to correct it. As I say you've got my address, if you send the correct items (if you have them) and ill return the faulty ones.
There is also no call for personal insults.

what part of you being out of the country til 14 march? me being ill and not at work which is the only place i look at work related email? you have my mobile number you contacted me on many many times in the past but are quick to create a"not starting a witchhunt"? Tell me how i/you could have any way of sorting this out when you haven't actually spoken or had a reply to your mail from me who is dealing with the carriers?
The very title of your thread? C'mon??? as i said,we will fit up and fit the same one as yours in the morning and report our findings,as other people have said, theirs fitted ok with no problems, and if you arent happy with my customer service after this, then i will happily refund your money and have a friend who works here in scotland but goes home to Andalucia a few times a year to collect and bring carrier back to me.
