Water jacket drain plug

Post by cosmicsheep »

Want to drop my coolant for a refresh. Messrs Haynes recommend removing drain plug from water jackets. Unfortunately I don't have the right tools (looks like an allen key socket)
Is there another way to remove the coolant or shall I just go out and buy a "bit" to fit my socket set?
Thanks

Ok, having spent the morning trying to undo hoses I've managed to drain about 8litres. My baxter guide says a full system is 16. How do I get my other 8 out???
Help please!
