Bit confused now as I continued to read; I have the big clunky thing in above photo; are you telling me theres space behind there for a spare? But a bit of a mare to get at if I have a flat??

If it is like the one above it is hindged and drops down at the front so you can get the tyre out. It only fits a 14" wheel though. I have my winch up there these days and the drop down thing helps with maintaning it.

There are 2 of these bashplates on Ebay.de at the moment, if anybody is after one

Here is the link for the one I bought. Have not tried it yet. Straightforward guy, doesn't speak much english, but we have managed using an online translator.

You'll need to plate that one in or you'll just get caught on stuff. Is there a difference between a 2WD and a Syncro underneath where it goes? I cant remember
