Tailgate seal fitting

Post by niscot »

A big thank you to everyone who replied to my first post - Misfire sorted!!

My 1983 1.9 WBX (DG) Autosleeper VT20 Poptop is missing the tailgate seal. I have bought one from JustKampers. (I should have checked on the forum first as I hear they are cheaper at AH Schofield)

Can anyone tell me how the seal profile fits into the channel and how best to fit it? Do I need glue?

Thanks

Nick

There can be two types of seal.

One with a plastic coated edging that pushes on the lip and another that is just a seal that glues into the channel like the sliding door seal does.

This is the push on seal
