Good Mechanic - Mid Wales

Post by salgarfi »

Hello All,

Does anyone know of a good mechanic within a couple of hours drive of Aberystwyth? A T25 specialist close to mid Wales would really be useful. I see that there's Border Restoration towards Shrewsbury, has anyone ever been to them?

We soldier on!!

Thanks for this. I see that you're north of Welshpool. I'm based near Devil's Bridge. But I've recently found a mechanic (recommended to me by Border Restorations) this side of Shrewsbury, in Hope (oh how hope springs eternal). He's a Will Llewellyn (and son). I need someone to go through the whole checklist of possibilities to sort out my intermittent engine hiccups (potential Vanagon syndrome) and he seems to have a handle on things. I live in Hope!!

But thanks again, maybe I'll end up in Llanfyllin after all.

Try Steve 80/90. He is one of the chaps who started the club. Nice chap and did wonders to my 2l air cooled. Found problems and fixed them that 2 other so called machanics failed to see good price too. He is in Chester/ Welshpool. :D
If in doubt give it a clout!

But I thought Steve was only in Chester?
