Looks a good do it yourself solution.
Cheapest unlimited data plan I have seen is £10 per month.

Notes

Make sure you have an unlimited data plan. GPS tracking is fairly data-intensive.

Lol - I've been looking for a while but just can't afford a tracker at £500+.

Yes, the data is the same for web usage.

Im interested in this but I dont understand how it works. Anyone out there who can explain it in SIMPLE english?

I have fitted a tracker in the past but it spent a whole week telling me all sorts of rubbish (always when I was away and at 04.00 in the morning) so I disconnected it

That note above was a quote from their website. Im not sure how much data it uses but they themselves recommend an unlimited data plan!

Basically, you install a mobile phone (one that has GPS onboard and a data connection) into your van in a hidden place and leave it there on charge permanently.

If your van gets nicked, or you are simply interested in stalking the driver, then you go to the above website and it finds your van and shows its location on a map.

The next bit is for forgetful people like me:
This is all well and good until you realise that after not touching the phone for a year and the van gets nicked that you have ran out of credit, forgot your logon details to above website, realise the website now needs credit card payment and has lost your details and the battery died on the phone.
