Wobbly Gearstick

The mounting plate has come free, the studs seem to have plently of thread on them. any idea what size nuts I need and is it hars to repair.

Im thining remove spare wheel and I should be able to access?

I like them tall and rough.. flat fours sound the best even if its got less power than a flymo!!

10mm spanner size (m6 nut) drop spare carrier , remove spare ,lie on your back , get comfy and think to yourself, yes , I like this position , cos you are going to be spending a lot of time under there in the years to come

Thanks.. knowing the size is a real life saver as I can go get the parts before starting the job now..

The old nuts where in the spare wheel, someone had put a new sping likage etc in and just not botered to put locking nuts on.

Was the quickest, easiest big improvment Ive done.. changes gear nice and easy now.. crunches a bit in second new gearbox oil or clutch next I think.
I like them tall and rough.. flat fours sound the best even if its got less power than a flymo!!

that would worry me. as if they have got that simple task wrong, what else have they played with :lol:
